The Journey We have Completed
We have travelled from Tarmonbarry in Ireland by road to Dover England, taking the boat on a truck and low loader. We put the boat in the water in Dover and motored it across the English channel. We then travelled the canals and went from Calais to Paris, onto Strasbourg before finally reaching Berlin (see individual parts of the trip on previously written blogs).

Where are We Now?
We travelled from Berlin back up the Rhine to Koblenz, up the Mozelle river through Luxembourg and onto Metz in France. From there we travelled down the canals in France to reach Chalon sur Saone where we are currently moored for the winter. We intend on staying on the boat until mid February when we will return to Ireland and return to work.

I was about to say ……. when you getting boat into water x clontarf when Claire heard you being interviewed on RTE 1 !!!!!!
AM I ENvious ,,,,,, but so delighted for you both. The canals and cest la vie meet both your expectations without one enjoying the crazy wind over tide and the other lying on cabin floor wishing the trip was over!!!!!
Cool cool stuff and cest la vie was the name on my first yacht a P class 7 footer….. kiwi beginner yacht for kidds……
Shall follow your trip with gusto….. just might get ideas too. Perhaps drop the mast and motor Valhalla thru canals one day
