Has anyone heard of Prosper Mérimée (1803- 1870) or André Malraux (1901-1976)? Well I for one owe them a deep sense of gratitude.
Nuala and I have had a great time exploring France visiting cities and historic buildings. In various guide books when visiting places , credit for saving a particular building or town has been given to either of these two men.
